Jessica Povlik graduated from Pennsylvania Institute of Health and Technology’s Medical Assisting program in August 2013. She is now successfully working at Excela Health.
She chose to attend PIHT because of the atmosphere. She said, “PIHT had a very welcoming atmosphere and it made me feel right at home. I also loved how small the school was so that you could get the most out of your learning experience.”
She decided on the Medical Assisting program because she has always loved to be hands-on and wanted to be able to build a relationship with her patients.
“My favorite part of attending PIHT was how everyone knew everyone and got along,” she explained. “It made it a lot more enjoyable to be in school.”
Now, Jessica is a Medical Assistant with Excela Health, working in an Orthopedic and Sports Medicine office.
Jessica’s advice to new students is to stick it out even if things seem like they are too much to handle. “The staff is like your family at PIHT,” she said. “They always do what they can to help you.”
Jessica would like to thank Melissa and Pam because of their help, whether it was for school or personal issues. They are great people. She also would like to thank her family, who she says were her biggest supporters.
